The Nordic Five Tech alliance together with University of Iceland offers a unique engineering master program: Nordic Master in Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering.
Nordic Five Tech is an alliance between the five leading technical universities in the Nordic region and consists of: Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland; Chalmers in Göteborg, Sweden; DTU in Lyngby, Denmark; KTH in Stockholm, Sweden; NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.
This novel Master of Science (MSc) program is specially designed for Bachelors of engineering or science. It is a research based program which takes advantage of the unique research environments present at the different partner universities. The students can specialize in one of the following technology areas:
Energy systems and policy, Wind Energy, Geothermal and hydrogen energy, Energy systems, savings and efficiency, CO2 capture and storage, Natural Gas Technology and Industrial Ecology, Bioenergy, combustion and treatment of biomass
The Nordic Master program covers four semesters of which the first is mandatory and takes place at KTH in Stockholm. After the first semester the student choose one of the many specializations. For students interested in Wind Energy enrollment will be at DTU. Next application period is planned to open on December 1st (2010) and close mid January 15th (2011).
