Juni 2018 auf der Naturbühne in Elspe auf! „Elspe-Festival“ und das „St. Elisabeth Hospiz“ aus Lennestadt präsentieren dieses einzigartige Musikspektakel, ein Crossover der ganz außergewöhnlichen Art!

Top Act aus Wacken

Es war 2015 einer der Top Acts überhaupt beim weltgrößten Heavy Metal Festival in Wacken. Die rund 70 Musiker rockten sich in die Herzen der 75.000 eingefleischten Metal-Fans, die diesen Symphonic Metal Rock so noch nie erlebt hatten.

Front-Mann der Band, Udo Dirkschneider, und Dirigent des Musikkorps, Oberstleutnant Christoph Scheibling, nahmen in einer beeindruckenden Performance das Publikum mit auf eine Reise durch die Metal-Hits von U.D.O., die dabei nicht nur im Metal-Look, sondern spektakulär und klanggewaltig mit großem Orchester und Chor präsentiert wurden.

Neue, erweiterte Show in Elspe!

2018 wird dieses Highlight nun in Elspe auf die Naturbühne gebracht. Das Wacken-Programm wird um zusätzliche Beiträge des Musikkorps der Bundeswehr erweitert. Das Publikum erwartet eine einzigartige, rund zweieinhalbstündige Show mit Heavy Metal Hits und spektakulärer, symphonischer Blasmusik.

Das Erfolgsprogramm aus der Wacken-Show 2015

Metal Heart, Animal House, Future Land sind nur einige der berühmten Titel der Band U.D.O., die nun in Spezialarrangements mit großem symphonischen Blasorchester, Solisten und Backgroundchor dem Publikum präsentiert werden.

Aber die Military Metal Night kann noch mehr: das Musikkorps der Bundeswehr, als eines der weltbesten symphonischen Blasorchester kommt mit eigener, neuer Musik nach Elspe. Die Trailermusik „Two Steps from Hell“ ist ebenso angesagt wie eine artistische Trommelshow.

The Bundeswehr Concert Band from Siegburg and the heavy metal band U.D.O. will perform together for a good cause at the Naturbühne open-air stage in Elspe! This unique music spectacle, an exceptional kind of crossover, will be presented by Elspe-Festival and the St. Elisabeth Hospice in Lennestadt.
Top Act from Wacken

In 2015, it was one of the top acts at the largest heavy metal festival in the world, in Wacken. The 70 or so musicians rocked themselves into the hearts of the 75,000 inveterate heavy metal fans who had never witnessed such a symphonic metal rock show before.

In an impressive performance, Udo Dirkschneider, the heavy metal band’s frontman, and Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Scheibling, the conductor of the Bundeswehr band, took the audience on a journey through U.D.O.’s heavy metal hits, which were performed not only with a metal sound, but also spectacularly and resoundingly with the backing of a large orchestra and choir.

New, Bigger Show in Elspe!

In 2018, this highlight will be staged at the Naturbühne open-air stage in Elspe. The Wacken programme will be extended to include additional compositions of the Bundeswehr Concert Band. The audience will be presented a unique two-and-a-half-hour show featuring heavy metal hits and spectacular, symphonic brass music.

Military Concerts are Regular Events in the Culture Calendar

The region has a long tradition of staging benefit concerts at which Bundeswehr bands play. Military musicians from all over Europe have played at numerous large concerts here. The last time the Bundeswehr Concert Band itself performed here was at “The Power of Military Music” benefit gala in November 2016. That event alone raised 19,000 € for people in need.

Martin Schäfer, the manager of the St. Elisabeth Hospice, was immediately thrilled by the idea of the Bundeswehr band being among the cast. In Jochen Bludau from Elspe-Festival, it is possible that t h e most competent partner possible has been found for the benefit gala.
