Urban Culture Institute „Live: Natur Szene Musik” (Performative Kunstführung)

In den performativen Führungen des Urban Culture Institute wird der Spreepark zur Kulisse für einen musikalischen Dialog, der das Zusammenspiel von Natur, Kultur und Performance zelebriert. Während die Musiker Paul Brody (Trompete) und Robyn Schulkowsky (Percussion) sich improvisierend durch die (Klang-)Landschaft des Spreeparks bewegen, werden die Überreste der Fahrgeschäfte zu Instrumenten oder Resonanzräumen. Pro Tour ergänzt eine Performerin des Urban Culture Institute – Christina Lanzl oder Dieta Sixt – die musikalische Darbietung durch szenisches, interaktives Storytelling: Ihre Inspirationsquellen sind entweder die besondere Szenerie des Spreeparks selbst (Dietz Sixt), oder Szenen aus Spielfilmen, in denen der Park als Kulisse diente (Christina Lanzl). Alle drei Performer erwecken durch individuelle Interpretationen den Park zu neuem Leben. Auch das Publikum kann sich auf der Klangebene oder mit persönlichen Erinnerungen einbringen und so Teil der Performance werden. Auf diese Weise überlagern sich in den Touren unterschiedliche Zeitebenen, sowie musikalische Komposition und szenische Improvisation.

URBAN CULTURE INSTITUTE „Live: Nature Music Scenery”

For their performative guided tours the Urban Culture Institute utilizes the Spreepark as a backdrop for a musical dialogue celebrating the interplay of nature, culture, and performance. The musicians Paul Brody (trumpet) and Robyn Schulkowsky (percussion) will reflect the sounds and the spirit of the Spreepark with their improvisations by turning the remains of former fairground rides into resonance rooms or instruments. In every tour, an additional performer of the Urban Culture Institute - Christina Lanzl or Dieta Sixt - complements these musical acts with an interactive storytelling – either inspired by the exceptional Spreepark scenery itself (Dieta Sixt), or by feature films in which the park used to serve as setting (Christina Lanzl). All three performers resurrect the park’s magic in the course of their interpretations. The audience will be invited to actively participate on an acoustic level or by bringing in specific memories related to the past, present and future of the Spreepark. Thus, different time levels collide and, musical composition overlaps with scenic improvisation.
