Das Missy Magazine wird 10 Jahre alt. Das heißt 10 Jahre politischer Journalismus, der Popfeminismus, queere Politik, Sexualitäts- und Alltagskritik miteinander verbindet. 2008 erschien das Projekt wie ein utopisches Unterfangen, doch heute besitzt die Zeitschrift eine treue Leser*innenschaft und feministische Politik ist in vielen Bereichen populär geworden. Diesen Erfolg feiert das Missy Magazine gemeinsam mit dem HAU Hebbel am Ufer. In Zusammenarbeit mit Diversity Arts Culture hat das Missy Magazine Frauen* of colour und ihre Perspektiven auf den aktuellen Feminismus ins Zentrum des Programms gerückt: Mit Vorträgen der Künstlerin und Aktivistin Noah Sow (“Deutschland Schwarz Weiß”) und der Soziologin Encarnación Gutiérrez Rodríguez (“Spricht die Subalterne deutsch?”). Außerdem gibt es Gesprächsrunden mit den Organisationen EOTO, Generation ADEFRA, International Wo­men’s Space, MAIZ, RomaniPhen u.a. und eine Performance von und mit Arantxa Martinez. Den Höhepunkt bildet ein Konzert der Avantgarde-Pop-Musikerin und Produzentin Ebony Bones. Das Jubiläum endet mit einer DJ-Nacht mit Bianca Kruk, Black Cracker, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah und nedalot.

Missy Magazine is turning ten. That means 10 years of political journalism, bringing together pop feminism, queer politics, and a critique of sexuality and everyday life. In 2008 the project seemed like a utopian endeavour, but today the magazine enjoys a loyal readership and feminist politics has become mainstream in many areas. Now this success will be celebrated by Missy Magazine, together with HAU Hebbel am Ufer and Diversity Arts Culture. Women of colour and their perspectives on contemporary feminism will be the focus of the programme. With lectures by the artist and activist Noah Sow and the sociologist Encarnación Gutiérrez Rodríguez. In addition there will be discussions with the organizations EOTO, Generation ADEFRA, International Women’s Space, MAIZ, RomaniPhen a.o. and a performance by and with Arantxa Martinez. It will all culminate in a concert by the avant-garde pop musician and producer Ebony Bones. The anniversary celebration ends with a DJ night with Bianca Kruk, Black Cracker, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah and nedalot.
