Mourning Sociality ist eine von der Choreograf*in Raoni/Muzho Saleh geleitete Zeremonie, bei der Trauern als kollektive Praxis im Mittelpunkt steht. Als 3-stündiges partizipatives Format ehrt Mourning Sociality das kollektive Zusammenkommen durch Sounds, Klagen und Trauern als Ausdruck der Liebe zum Verlust. Dieses kollektive Ereignis stellt jene Trauer in den Mittelpunkt, die mit der Gewalt kolonialer Psyche und Strukturen einhergeht. Ziel ist es, gemeinsam zu üben, das eigene gebrochene Herz zu lieben, ohne Heilung zu forcieren. Es entsteht ein Raum, in dem das Wehklagen und die klagenden Rhythmen der Teilnehmenden einander tagen können, um Einsamkeit und Betäubung entgegen zu wirken. Jede*r ist willkommen, an diesem gemeinschaftlichen Moment teilzuhaben, ob wahrnehmend oder partizipativ.

Mourning Sociality is a ceremony facilitated by choreographer Raoni/Muzho Saleh. It centers socializing through the collective practice of grief. It is a three hour participatory event that honours collective gathering by way of moaning and mourning as an expression of love for loss. This space centers the sorrow that comes with the violence of the settler colonial psyche and structures. The intention for this gathering is to collectively practice loving the own broken heartedness without the need to fix anything. In this space wailing and lamenting rhythms are encouraged by voices of the group to counteract suffering in loneliness and numbness.
Everyone is welcome to participate in this communal moment, either perceiving or actively participating.
