Award ceremony: International Literature Award - Haus der Kulturen der Welt 2010

After the successful launch of the International Literature Award by HKW and Stiftung Elementarteilchen, the competition enters its second round: the award is presented annually to an outstanding narrative voice in contemporary international literature and its first translation into German.

This year 78 publishers have submitted 133 titles.The award is endowed with €25,000 for the author and €10,000 for the translator and will be presented by Sigrid Löffler and the jury. After a reading from the award-winning book a speech will be held by writer Sibylle Lewitscharoff. The evening is hosted by literary critic Denis Scheck.
