Biografie
Mental War was formed in 2009 by Eugen ( vox), Tom (guitar ) , Dennis (guitar ) and since then developed its own unique style inspired by Metal bands like Slayer, Testament, Cannibal Corpse and more…
And some days later the band started to work on their first songs.
Finally, in March 2010 the line-up was completed for the first time. Andy (drums) and Eric joined Mental War.
In August 2010, the first live-gig was performed at a Metal de Houte Festival.
In the end of 2010 Mental War released a live demo with 5 songs recorded on Metal de Houte and Andy (drums) left the band. Some days later Magnus joined MW and the band was complete. The feedback was more than huge, while this demo has been used to apply for more live gigs and they have continually pushed themselves in order to create the definitive sound of Mental War.
Day by day the band got more shows and got into studio on April 2011 to record their first 6 Songs EP.
Eric (bass) left the band, please welcome Stephan.
The Depths of Depravity EP is finally ready on March2012, produced by Eugen Getman (Sariola) at his own studio in Duisburg and released two months later.
The sound of the new stuff is murderous and the band gets a heavy tight aggressive style with shredding guitars, various vocals mean blasting and groove drum playing with hell bass lines.
Mental War is planning to play more shows and it will improve the bands new killing style and … Moving on... some said "Mental War could crush anyone on stage"…other said " they are here to destroy ears and bring brutality to the land" … but this is the future …
Now Mental War is working on new stuff and some new songs appears on the band's last shows and the crowd seems to fucking love it and it seems that they made the next step……… get into the studio to record their new album..

Aus den Trümmern diverser Vorgängerbands wie LuziferSam, Body Lost Ist Size oder Friday Is Scrapped hervorgehend, wird PORTER im Jahre 2000 von Lars Daum (Gitarre), Frank Stewen (Gitarre) und M.G. (Drums), zunächst mit wechselnden Sängern und Bassisten aus der Taufe gehoben.

Nach einigen Probegigs in NRW trifft die Band im August 2001 auf Christian Schwarz, der als fester Sänger bei PORTER einsteigt. Komplettiert durch einen alten Bekannten, Bassmann Volker Fabiunke, kann PORTER zum ersten Mal seine Kräfte gezielt einsetzen und nach vielen Jahren des Wartens endlich an den Start gehen.

Mit schalldichtem Stützpunkt an einem geheimen Ort in Dortmund und dem ersten 3-Track Demo im Gepäck, gilt es nun möglichst viel live zu spielen, um den emotionalen, eindeutig gitarrenbetonten und energiegeladenen Alternativerock in die Lande zu tragen.
