Welcome to Gran Turismo Nurburgring 2016
Nurburgring is, by far, the most prestigious racetrack in the world. Stretching almost 21 kilometres it is a true challenge for all drivers. Learning the track is nothing one can do in an afternoon - it is often a lifetime project for many members of the sports car community to master the ring.
Strictly limited to 120 super cars
While the event is limited to strictly 120 participating cars you can be sure to get the ultimate Nurburgring experience. No tourists. No motorcycles. No buses. Actually no other traffic at all. Just you and the most demanding track in the world. You and the next corner. The way it should be.
Furthermore, you don't need to enter the pit each lap. You can keep going flat out on Döttingher Höhe all the way past the Touristenfahrt entry, reaching warp speed seven towards Tiergarten.
We drive according to open pit lane regulations, which means you can enter the track whenever you want - no waiting for your turn to go. With so few cars on track it is also a very safe event - very little congestion and dangerous overtakings.
Two full days of driving
Check-in to the event is in the lobby of Dorint Hotel starting from noon on the 1st of June. The drivers briefing and dinner is at 20.00 in the conference area of Dorint. The briefing is compulsory, even if you are not staying with us in the hotel. If you are interested, we are also organising a track walk, where Nurburgring officials show you around in a tour bus. Pick up is at 18.00 from just outside of Hotel Dorint.
The following two days, we have the Nordschleife exclusively for us - between 8 and 17 (last entry 16.30). As always, we will have first class instruction and full hospitality on the track. Oh, and lets not forget the traditional dinner in the famous Pistenklause restaurant on the evening of the 2nd of June.
On Friday the 3rd of June, after finishing driving on the track, we all enjoy the closing party in Dorint Hotel at 20.00. Gran Turismo After Track in the famous Cockpit Bar starts at 18.00. Welcome!
World class instruction included
Both newcomers and more experienced drivers on the Nurburgring are welcome to use any of the experienced instructors we have employed for the event. Our team of instructors are Nurburgring Officials and well known racing car drivers like Marco Seefried, Andy Gulden, Tony Ring, Luca Sadun, Hendrik Kebben and Sabine Schmitz.
Nurburgring is a dangerous track with minimal safety margins. Our event comes with full safety package including marshalls, ambulances, firetrucks and helicopters if an incident should occur.
Accommodation in Dorint Hotel
We are staying at the Dorint Hotel, a four star hotel located right next to the Grand Prix-circuit, with the wonderful landscape of the High Eifel region in the background. You can join the event without staying with us in Dorint, at a reduced cost. Everything else is always included. Just let us know when you register.
The Gran Turismo experience
Since we started over a decade ago, we have been doing things a little bit differently. Our events are not just about driving, it is just as much about meeting the people who love driving, too. Hence, we always have the entire group stay at the same hotel, organise welcome and closing dinners, and lots of other social activities during the events. We call this the Gran Turismo experience.
