Beatrice Rana liebt das Drama, gesteht sie, und
sie liebt wohl nicht zuletzt auch deshalb die Klavierkonzerte
von Sergej Prokofjew. »Ich komme
aus Süditalien, dort ist man einfach immer dramatisch.
« Für den Dirigenten Antonio Pappano
sei sie »eine Offenbarung«, auch Presse und
Publikum feiern die 24-Jährige, die schon
jetzt zu den führenden Pianistinnen Italiens zu
zählen ist. In Frankfurt wird der Kroate Ivan
Repušic´ am Pult stehen, der auf die Frage nach
seinem Lieblingsinstrument antwortet: »Das
Orchester, mit allen seinen Farben.«

Beatrice Rana admits that she loves drama and
this is presumably just one of the reasons why she
loves Sergei Prokofiev’s piano concertos. »I come
from the south of Italy, and everyone is dramatic
there.« For the conductor Antonio Pappano she
is »a revelation«, and the media and the general
public also applaud this 24-year-old artist,
already one of the leading pianists in Italy. On the
rostrum in Frankfurt will be the Croatian Ivan
Repušic´ who, when asked about his favourite
instrument, responds: »The orchestra, with all
its many colours«.
